Develop a new farming product or service. If you have a new farming product or service you want to develop, you can apply to be funded as a ‘Research and Development (R&D) Partnership’ project. It’s your chance to pitch something that could improve farming methods and help the environment.
Total Farming Innovation Programme will be allocating £270 million. This stream is for projects with costs between £1-3 and £3-5 million. The fund covers up to 70% of the costs, but it depends on the type of project and whether costs are accrued by a business or a research organisation. See the fund website for additional details.
You have to be a UK registered business to lead on an R&D Partnership project. You’ll need to collaborate with at least one other business or research organisation. Farmers, growers or foresters must be involved throughout the project. See the fund website for additional details.
See the fund website for guidance.
Small R&D partnership Round 3 is due to open in August 2023 and close in October 2023. See the fund website for updates.
Overall programme running since 2021 for a number of years.
