The fund provides support for sustainable development within the fishing and aquaculture sectors and conservation of the marine environment, alongside growth and jobs in coastal communities. The purpose of the scheme is to provide European Member States with a financial support mechanism to the fisheries, inland waters, aquaculture and maritime sectors.
The last round can provide funding for projects with a value of £50,000 and over, potentially also £100,000 and over. If you have a project idea that can be completed within the required timeframe, but is in an area required, or is less than £50,000 in value contact the MMO Grants Team for more information. See the fund website for additional details.
There are different eligibility requirements depending on who you are and what project you are applying for. In general, to qualify for EMFF funds your project needs to support the overall aims of the EMFF which are to: make the fisheries and aquaculture sectors more sustainable, conservation of the marine environment, support growth and jobs in coastal communities. See the fund website for additional details.
See the fund website for guidance.
There scheme is open for applications for the final time but there is a strict fund closing time, meaning all payments must be made by 31 December 2023. Any projects that cannot complete by this date will not be eligible for funding in this scheme. See the fund website for updates.
