This web page links to a 12-page brochure presenting the 10-stage life-cycle management scale developed by Nigel Adams Countryside Management. This aims to help land managers be able to ‘read’ their hedges and decide when they need trimming or rejuvenating. It has been adopted by Natural England and is widely used as good practice.
